New Five-Year Deal and Salary Increase
Before renewing his contract, Saka had one year remaining on a deal set to expire in June 2027. Arsenal’s management decided to secure his future with a fresh agreement running through 2031.
Reports indicate that the new deal raises his weekly salary from £199,000 to £300,000. This increase reflects his importance to the team and his consistent performances in recent seasons.
Journey from Academy Graduate to Key Player
Saka made his senior debut for Arsenal in 2018 after progressing through the club’s academy system. Since then, he has become one of the team’s most influential attacking players.
In 2023, he had already signed a previous contract extension. His continued development has made him a central figure in Arsenal’s long-term plans.
So far this season, Saka has scored seven goals in 33 appearances for the club.
Premier League Record and Arsenal Legacy
In 217 Premier League matches for Arsenal, Saka has scored 57 goals. He now ranks among the club’s most consistent performers in the modern era.
If he completes his new contract in 2031, he will have spent 13 years with the Gunners’ senior team. Only former Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour, who made 333 league appearances, remains ahead of him in long-term league service comparisons.
Saka recently joined teammates such as William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhães, Ethan Nwaneri, and Myles Lewis-Skelly, who have also extended their contracts.
England Role and Arsenal’s Title Ambitions
At international level, Saka has earned 48 caps and scored 14 goals for England national football team. He remains one of the key players under head coach Thomas Tuchel, who is preparing his squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup in June.
Arsenal currently lead the Premier League table, sitting four points ahead of Manchester City F.C.. The club has also reached the final of the EFL Cup, which will take place in March 2026.
Saka’s contract extension strengthens Arsenal’s push for domestic and international success in the coming years.
